Dr. Feinberg's Experience |
I went to a doctor out of Baystate who had done 1 back surgery on me already. He informed me it was my weight and I would not be getting surgery. My Physiatrist said there was a new doctor in town and he had heard great things about him. I saw Dr. Pennings who immediately said I needed surgery and nothing was said about my weight. I was sent home the same day and did great. I didn’t miss work because I was working from home. Dr. Pennings and his assistant Mike are the best duo around. I had my 3rd surgery done by Dr. Pennings last Wednesday and I was sitting up chatting in no time. Pleaseeeeeeee for your sake, forget Baystate and go to Dr. Pennings…P.s. he really likes warm chocolate chip cookies!

I had several appointments at the Institute for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at Holyoke Medical Center. My first two appointments were with Aaron Pitrat PA-C. He listened to all of my symptoms and concerns. Dr Pennings, and Michael Bennett PA-C were on my surgical team. They were all extremely professional, thorough, and compassionate. I was in severe pain with a multitude of symptoms. After the surgery, all the symptoms are gone and so is the pain. I wish I did this surgery sooner and highly recommend them.

Amazing surgeon. I was in extreme pain and Dr. Pennings operated on my back. The results were unbelievable!!
I could finally do all the activities that I couldn’t do before. Would recommend him highly.

Dr. Pennings & his team were excellent, everyone was personable, and everything was orchestrated smoothly & professionally.
My wife who was waiting during my surgery was kept informed & was allowed in the recovery room.
I would highly recommend him (he is very personable) and in fact I have already done so.

I am a patient of Dr Pennings from UMass. I had spinal issues for years from a car accident. I had seen several spine doctors and was told it was my weight. I ended up having weight surgery. Years later I made my 3rd attempt at seeing Dr Pennings. He is AMAZING and I would highly recommend anyone to see him. I walked the same day as both my surgeries he has done. I also returned to work in 4 weeks. Oh and the weight surgery was a failure, found out I am insulin resistant which is why I was holding fat. So to all the other doctors that just assume u might want to stop judging. A huge shout out to Dr Pennings u are beyond the best Neurosurgeon and just so u know I will follow u. Thank u so much for all you have done and continue to do for all of us in pain. Everyone needs to have someone like you to have their back!! Thank u again!!...

My husband and I brought our daughter for a consult to see Dr. Pennings. Our intention was to get two opinions but from the moment we met...we knew he was the one. He untied her boots and took them off for her and after his examination, he put them back on for her and relaced and tied them. He explained clearly what his plan was for her surgery and stayed with us at check out until we left the office. He is not only a surgeon but a kind, compassionate man as well. My fear of my daughter having surgery is no longer with Dr. Pennings at the helm. I’ll keep you posted!
